Uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), which are battery-powered backups, have been installed in each school's network closet.
This enhances network reliability across Rockcastle County Schools, ensuring that critical systems like internet, phones, and security cameras remain operational during short-term power outages.
INTENTIONAL CHROMEBOOK DAMAGE IS DOWN

So far, intentional damage to student Chromebooks has decreased compared to previous years.
We sincerely appreciate the efforts of our staff in helping make this improvement possible.
RCHS STUDENT PASSWORD PROJECT

The RockIT Tech Team is currently in the planning stages of a project that will enable Rockcastle County High School students to change and maintain their own passwords.
This change will encourage personal accountability, increase student data privacy, and enhance overall network security.
More details of the rollout process will be shared in the future.
3D PRINTING AT MVES

The RockIT Tech Team has been collaborating with MVES students on 3D printing as part of their FRC after-school enrichment program.
Students have observed the printers in action and learned about the process of designing and creating objects.
They have brought their creations life through 3D printing.
