Erate Funding Recieved!

We are Thrilled to announce that we have been funded for two of our three erate projects 

  • The First gives us $48,370.17 worth of equipment for a cost to the district 4,837.02. and will replace our datacenter core.

  • The second gives us new all switches at each school and new access points in each classroom 376,799.27 for a cost to the district of 56,519.89

  • Our third project has not been funded yet, but we hope to hear about it soon.

  • We have building walk throughs scheduled with our new network vendor "PCS" to start the planning stages of our complete network replacement and expect to get equipment installed this fall.

ROCKIT SUMMER PROJECTS UNDERWAY

We are still in the process of cleaning - resetting the software and repairing our fleet of 3400 student Chromebooks

We have replaced the PLTW Lab at RCHS with 30 New computers but still need to add lots of specific engineering software

We have replaced the RATC Business lab at the RATC with new computers and new monitors thanks to a grant from GearUp

All staff members will get a new Name Badge this year, we will start creating these in July.

This week we will start migrating all the student data for our instructional programs. This is a huge project, and requires a lot time and customization to get everything working correctly before school starts.

ALL RCMS staff will get a Dell 32 inch docking station monitor and a new Chromebook - RCMS Desktop Computers will be removed.

We are already migrating all District wide windows devices to a new cloud based Microsoft EntraID/Intune system. This requires a data wipe and refresh for all windows devices.

We are migrating to a new Deployment/Remote Management software called PDQ Connect

We are migrating to a new virus scanner (To Windows Defender from Trellix)
