The TeachMeet educational technology conference for the southeastern region will be at Pulaski County High School on July 15th.

Everyone with an interest in learning about the latest trends and resources in the world of educational technology is encouraged to attend.

We are still in the process of compiling a comprehensive list of instructional programs used in the district.

Our next step is the creation of a recommended resources dashboard that can be filtered by grade level and subject area.

Please note that, going forward, approval for new instructional programs will be slower, as we are having to more closely examine all of the student data that is shared with other companies.

STLP state championships are being held on April 23rd in Lexington.

23 students from BES, 9 students from MVES, and 2 students from RCMS will be attending.

BES has a Level 2 Project and RCMS students are competing in 3 challenges - the STLP Tech Bowl, the TSA/STLP Team Coding Challenge, and the UK Web Coding Challenge.

KDE has chosen GoGuardian as the state-provided Internet Content Management Service, replacing Lightspeed.

The window for the switchover we have been provided is April 14 - April 24.

We will roll out the GoGuardian in phases over this time period.

Before the beginning of the next school year, emails to staff from sources that are frequently compromised or used in phishing attacks will be blocked.

Examples of senders include PayPal, Venmo, eBay, Facebook, and many more.

Emails from personal sources will be completely blocked, meaning you could lose access to your accounts if you don't switch them over to a non-work email.

If you are a staff member and you use your school email or account for anything personal (banking, utility bills, social media, shopping, etc.), please move these to a personal email address now to ensure you don't lose access to them in the future.
